Because of concerns that we would create a gathering of people, we are not going to be able to offer scheduled times for the Sacrament of Reconciliation. We will offer this sacrament by appointment. The Church tells us that individual and integral confession and absolution constitute the only ordinary means by which a member of the faithful conscious of grave sin is reconciled with God and the Church. This means that individually confessing all known grave sins as part of this sacrament is required for reconciliation. However, if it is physically impossible to meet with a priest individually for this sacrament, please say an Act of Contrition and resolve to go to confession as soon as you can.
Given our attempts to reduce social contact to minimize the spread of COVID-19, we ask you to give only those most in need of this sacrament that access to our priests at this time.
