Refresher course on protocols for being able to celebrate Mass in church in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic:

These protocols have been set in place by the Diocese so that we may continue to gather together.

• Everyone age two and over must wear a mask

• Except for those on the liturgical schedule, no one will be admitted until 20 minutes before Mass begins, to allow time for sanitizing the church and volunteer orientation.

•Everyone must enter through center doors, proceed down the center aisle to the first available pew and then to the farthest available seat in the pew. If the center pews are filled we will then open another section. By using all available spaces we will save time and the expense of sanitizing sections unnecessarily.

•Communion is SINGLE FILE starting with the back rows. Ushers will allow one person at a time alternately from each side of the center aisle. Proceed forward using the X’s on the floor to maintain the social distancing prescribed by the diocese. Those needing assistance walking may have a family member accompany them. When you reach the altar, turn to the Priest or Extraordinary Minister corresponding to the side you are sitting on. Do not cross over. Communion is to be received in the hand only, please remove your mask when you get to the altar and consume the host before walking away.

•When Mass is over, the back rows will exit first, using the side aisles and out through the side doors.

We thank you for your patience and understanding. We will continue to follow these protocols until further notice from the Diocese.
